The Info.Cuidador Project, from the Humanitarian Center of Tavira, of the Portuguese Red Cross, is a project to support informal caregivers in the four municipalities covered by the Humanitarian Center of Tavira, namely: Tavira, Castro Marim, Alcoutim and Vila Real de Santo António.

Sensory activities are those that stimulate children's senses, i.e. hearing, smell, taste, touch and sight. The aim is to get the brain to assimilate the different stimulus channels, increasing the channels for knowledge input and adaptation of the body when faced with a new stimulus.

On May 23, the "+ Próximo" Project developed by the Tavira Humanitarian Center of the Portuguese Red Cross, in the municipality of Alcoutim, was attended by the Minister of Internal Administration, the Secretary of State for Internal Administration, the Mayor of Alcoutim, and the National President of the Portuguese Red Cross.

"Remembering is living", and as such, we decided to remember traditions of the month of May in the Unidade de Média Duração e Reabilitação. We created the typical Maios, dolls made of straw or newspapers, dressed up and placed at the door of the houses with verses related to various themes.

The World Book Day was celebrated at the Unidade de Média Duração e Reabilitação. This day is celebrated, since 1996 and by decision of UNESCO, on April 23rd, being a symbolic date for literature.
