National Stroke Patient Day

Physical Medicine and Rehabilitation Clinic

National Stroke Day, which is celebrated today, March 31st, reminds us that this continues to be the leading cause of death and disability in Portugal, and that in many cases at least one person dies and another is left with sequelae, often at an active age.

If you experience any of these signs/symptoms, call 112; a quick diagnosis can reduce damage.

We emphasize how physiotherapy intervention is individualized, adapted to each case, and important in the recovery of the user's mobility, functionality, and autonomy, reducing complications and improving their quality of life.
