We celebrated World Down Syndrome Day (March 21st)

Integrated Support Centre for Children "A Gaivota"

At our Shelter, we marked this special date with a simple but meaningful gesture: wearing mismatched socks!

The mismatched socks symbolize the chromosomes that have a shape similar to a sock. This small gesture represents something much bigger:

- Difference and diversity;

- Acceptance of people with Down Syndrome;

- The importance of inclusion, respect, and empathy;

Together, we showed that being different is being special.

Let's continue to promote a more inclusive society where everyone has a place!
