The First 2022 Edition of the Operational Training Plan for Psychosocial Support Teams (PAST) took place last May 14th.
The same included elements from the National Coordination of Mental Health and Psychosocial Support of the Portuguese Red Cross and the Center for Crisis Intervention in Firefighters and Psychotraumatology of the Public Security Police.
Several exercises were held in order to train our technicians for real situations.
Our Psychosocial Emergency team provides emergency support in the South of the country, whenever requested.
It has been an example in emergency social response with the ability to provide food, clothing and hygiene kits. It also provides emergency psychological First Aid support in disaster situations. The same is operational 365 days / 24 hours a day.
The Psychosocial Emergency Team of the Tavira Humanitarian Center was represented by the Coordinator of the Emergency Unit, the Coordination Assistant, the EAPS Social Worker and the EAPS Psychologist.
